Photography and showing prep
Great photos and smooth showings start with a simple plan. Focus on light, space, and clean lines. Your goal is to help buyers imagine living here.
Photo day checklist
- Open blinds and curtains. Turn on every light.
- Clear kitchen and bath counters. Hide trash cans.
- Make beds. Smooth linens and pillows.
- Park cars away from the house. Hide hoses and bins.
- Wipe mirrors, glass, and stainless steel.
Timing tip
Book photos when your home gets the best natural light. Ask for a few dusk shots if outdoor lighting looks great at night.
Before each showing
- Do a five minute sweep. Lights on, blinds set, floors clear.
- Set the temperature to feel comfortable.
- Secure pets and remove signs of litter boxes or bowls.
- Leave a simple flyer with highlights buyers might miss.
